Caught in a violent storm at sea, Dorothy Gale once again finds herself swept off to a fairytale land. She makes new friends, including Billina the talking hen, and Tik-Tok the machine man; she is reunited with old ones, like the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman and Cowardly Lion; and team up with Princess Ozma, ruler of the Land of Oz, on a dangerous but important rescue mission.
